Why is shop pay not letting me use installments?
To use Shop Pay Installments, you need to have a United States billing address, and be signed up for Shop Pay. For physical products that require shipping, a US shipping address must be provided. If your cart only has digital products, then a US shipping address isn't required.
Check that your billing info matches your bank info on file. For example, the zip code needs to match the billing address. Make sure that you're using a supported debit or credit card. For example, some prepaid cards aren't supported.
Four, biweekly, interest-free payments, for orders from 50 USD to 999.99 USD. Monthly payments for orders from 150 USD to 17,500 USD. Monthly installment orders are interest-bearing from 10 to 36% APR, and may be paid in three, six, or twelve months depending on the purchase amount.
- Add items to your cart.
- Check out using Shop Pay.
- In the Payment method section, select Pay in installments and tap Continue to payment plans.
- Verify any requested information and select your preferred payment plan.
- Select a card to use as your payment method.
For orders between 50 USD to 999.99 USD, you can split your purchase into four bi-weekly, interest-free installment payments. There are no additional charges, interest rates, or late fees for this option, and your credit score isn't affected.
Paying in installments on Shop Pay allows you to split your purchase amount into four equal, biweekly installment payments with 0% APR, or monthly installments with no hidden or late fees*. *Rates from 0% APR 10-30% APR.
Your card may be declined for a number of reasons: the card has expired; you're over your credit limit; the card issuer sees suspicious activity that could be a sign of fraud; or a hotel, rental car company, or other business placed a block (or hold) on your card for its estimated total of your bill.
There are three possible reasons why a credit card payment might fail: Payments declined by card issuers. Blocked payments. Invalid API calls.
Here are a few reasons why a payment can be declined with Afterpay: Your first payment amount must be available at the time of purchase - even if you have nothing to pay today. Your Afterpay account has overdue payments owing. The Afterpay risk management department has declined your payment.
Debit cards represent your current finances- i.e., what you have in your bank account. This means that unless you're signing up for an installment program, you're limited to spending the amount that you have in your account. Credit cards, on the contrary, entitle you to make transactions on the basis of debt.
Why is Klarna not letting me pay in installments?
You might experience that not all or no Klarna payment options are available to you when making another purchase with Klarna. Different factors, such as missed or delayed payments or reported financial hardship can lead to being blocked from further using Klarna.
If you stop making your required payments on general consumer debts (like a line of credit, overdraft or credit card), your creditors will generally charge you a fee for defaulting on (missing) payments and start reporting those defaults on your credit history.

If Shopify needs more documentation or information, they may place a hold on your payments. Documentation can take up to 3 business days to review.
